Deoksugung Palace: Seokjojeon at Night

About the Festival

This is a night viewing program at Deoksugung Palace, consisting of a 'Seokjojeon Night Tour' with professional guides, a 'Terrace Cafe Experience' where visitors can enjoy gabaecha (coffee) and desserts loved by Emperor Gojong while listening to classical music, and a musical performance featuring stories of the Korean Empire's imperial family. Starting as a pilot project in 2021, it was officially launched in 2022 due to high satisfaction and positive response, and has been operated semi-annually since 2023. It is a complex cultural experience program where visitors can experience the special journey of time travel to Deoksugung Seokjojeon, which holds stories of the Korean Empire's imperial family, guided by palace staff, and create lasting memories of the night at Deoksugung Seokjojeon through 'Life Palace Cut' photos using props from the enlightenment period and souvenirs.
