About the Festival
This is a Paleolithic experience festival held at the Yeoncheon Jeongok-ri Prehistoric Site, where the first humans on the Korean Peninsula lived. The Yeoncheon Jeongok-ri Prehistoric Site is a world-renowned site where hand axes, evidence that very intelligent Paleolithic people lived in Korea 300,000 years ago, were discovered. Once a year, prehistoric cultural experiences from around the world gather at Yeoncheon Jeongok-ri to open a venue for primitive experiences and invite modern people. The festival's significance lies in the harmony of culture and the public, regional brand development, and the utilization of the site for active preservation, based on the historical value of the Yeoncheon Jeongok-ri Prehistoric Site.
