Ulsan Onggi Festival

About the Festival

The Ulsan Onggi Festival is the only festival in Korea specialized in the theme of onggi (earthenware), which has been with the Korean people for over a thousand years. As the festival is held in Oegosan Onggi Village, Ulju-gun, where onggi is produced using traditional methods, it naturally promotes onggi, a representative local specialty, and contributes to the popularization of everyday onggi and the development of traditional industries. Various experiences, exhibitions, and performances are prepared, from demonstrations of onggi making by artisans.
