About the Festival
The 40th Icheon Ceramic Festival is a ceramic culture event held in the areas of Icheon Ceramic Art Village and Sagimakgol in Icheon City, Gyeonggi-do. Icheon has long been a region that has continued its ceramic culture, encompassing both tradition and modernity, based on high-quality clay and excellent kiln technology.This 40th festival is prepared as an opportunity to look back at the history and value of the Icheon Ceramic Festival and to jointly explore the future direction of ceramic culture. During the festival, ceramists and visitors can mingle, share the artistic meaning of ceramics, and directly experience the ceramic making process through various hands-on programs such as pottery wheel experience and writing wishes on large ceramic pieces.In addition, a wide range of exhibitions and sales, from traditional ceramics to modern design works, will take place, and the scope of cultural and artistic exchange will be expanded through related programs such as academic seminars, ceramic competitions, and performances.
