About the Festival

Bird shells, mainly caught in the Namdanghang Port and Cheonsuman Bay area between December and March of the following year, are in season with their plump and large flesh. Bird shells are characterized by their chewy and light savory flavor, and are rich in nutrients such as protein, iron, taurine, and essential amino acids, making them loved by many. The Bird Shell Festival is held throughout the winter and attracts many tourists.
