About the Festival

The Hwangmaesan Royal Azalea Festival, held annually in spring around Hwangmaesan Mountain in Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongsangnam-do, is a representative natural landscape festival where visitors can admire the nation's largest royal azalea colony. The vast azalea plains, spread across altitudes of over 800m above sea level, create a spectacular pink wave, offering visitors exotic scenery and a special spring ambiance.During the festival, cultural and artistic performances, sales of local agricultural products, and various experiential programs are operated, allowing people of all ages to enjoy.
