East Asia Cultural City Andong

About the Festival

The 2026 East Asia Cultural City Andong is an international cultural exchange project designed to promote mutual understanding and cooperation through cultural exchanges among cities in Korea, China, and Japan. It features a variety of programs throughout the year. The opening event, held from May 1st to 5th, includes an opening ceremony with traditional performances and celebratory shows from the three countries (Korea, China, Japan), as well as various participatory programs such as East Asian traditional games experience, East Asian traditional food fair, and cooking classes, allowing citizens and visitors to directly experience East Asian culture. Furthermore, it aims to share the cultural characteristics of each of the four cities from the three countries participating in the 2026 East Asia Cultural City and expand the scope of East Asian cultural exchange through the operation of promotional booths.
