The Namsan Beacon Fire Ceremony and Traditional Cultural Events are hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government. They recreate the communication methods of the Joseon Dynasty, aiming to introduce Korea's unique traditional culture to citizens and domestic and international tourists, and to provide opportunities for cultural enjoyment. The Namsan Beacon Fire Station was a crucial communication means during the Joseon Dynasty, where beacon fires from all over the country were finally gathered to report situations to the capital city. At the Namsan Beacon Fire Station, visitors can watch the Namsan Beacon Fire Ceremony and listen to historical explanations. Additionally, the Bosingak Bell-Ringing Ceremony, held daily at noon, is a participatory event for citizens and tourists. Visitors can also enjoy Samulnori performances and traditional martial arts demonstrations at the Namsan Seoul Tower Palgakjeong Square. Furthermore, experiential programs such as the daily Gyeongjeomgwan (timekeeper) experience and daily Bongsu-kkun (beacon fire keeper) experience are also available.
