Chuncheon Mime Festival

*The following food information is from the previous year (2025); 2026 information is currently being updated.* Chuncheon Mime Festival is a representative performing arts festival in Korea that connects the city, art, and citizens through mime (MIME), the art of conveying emotions through body movements. Held every last week of May in Chuncheon, the city of water and spring, it is considered one of the world's top three mime festivals along with the Mimos Mime Festival in France and the London International Mime Festival in the UK, raising its international status. It creates a new genre called "Chuncheon + Mime + Festival" by converging the emotions and hearts of the city and its residents with various genres such as water, fire, flowers, light, and video. It is a festival of "Nanjang" (chaos) that unravels the desires of the city and the era through artistic gestures. The 2026 Chuncheon Mime Festival will be held from May 24 to May 31 under the theme of "Body Scape." Starting with the opening "Ah! Su-ra-jang," it will showcase various body landscapes throughout Chuncheon for eight days, including theater performances, "Walking Mime," "Art Nanjang X," and the overnight "Dokkaebi Nanjang."
