Yeongdong Nangye Korean Traditional Music Festival

*Information on food at the festival venue below is based on last year's (2025) festival content, and content for the 2026 festival is currently being updated.*This is a cultural and artistic performance festival held annually to commemorate the musical achievements of Master Nangye Park Yeon and contribute to the promotion of traditional cultural arts, with Gugak (Korean traditional music) as its theme, which is a cultural heritage and traditional art of Yeongdong-gun. The 57th Yeongdong Nangye Gugak Festival aims to promote Gugak, a Korean heritage, worldwide by building upon the achievements of the 2025 Yeongdong World Gugak Expo, and to contribute to the resurgence of the second Hallyu culture. Furthermore, as the only Gugak festival in Korea, it strives to modernize and inherit traditional cultural arts through various Gugak performances and experiential programs, and to transform the festival into a regional tourism resource with programs tailored to local characteristics. It also provides a venue for community harmony through the improvement of local residents' cultural standards and their voluntary participation.
