The Gyechon Classic Festival is a representative outdoor classical music festival in Korea, held annually in Gyechon-ri, Bangnim-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon State. Hosted by the Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Foundation and organized by the Korea National University of Arts, it is supported by Pyeongchang-gun. The festival consists of the Starlight Concert, Sunshine Concert, and Moonlight Concert. Every year, outstanding artists participate, filling the entire village of Gyechon with music. The Gyechon Starlight Orchestra, known as Korea's 'El Sistema,' features all students of Gyechon Elementary School as members and adds to the emotion by performing the opening stage. The 12th Gyechon Classic Festival in 2026 will be held from June 5 (Fri) to June 7 (Sun), 2026, at Gyechon Classic Park and Gyechon Romance Park.
