Silla Cultural Festival

The Silla Cultural Festival, which began in 1962, celebrates its 53rd anniversary this year. It is filled with diverse content, including the Hwabaek Festival, which recreates the brilliant history of Silla against the backdrop of Woljeonggyo Bridge, and the Silk Road Festa, a street art festival featuring spectacular performances by numerous artists. The Hwarang Hip-hop Festa offers a unique scene found only in Gyeongju, with performances by Korea's top hip-hop artists set against the backdrop of ancient tombs. Adding to the fun is Dalbit Nanjang, a romantic night market where local Gyeongju merchants participate to showcase the city's flavors. As a representative festival of the thousand-year ancient capital of Gyeongju, the Silla Cultural Festival offers a special moment where history and art come together as one.
