18th Tongyeong Theatre Arts Festival

The Tongyeong Theatre Arts Festival, a representative performing arts festival in the Gyeongnam region, opens on Friday, July 10th. It will be held for 10 days under the theme of empathy and communication. Although modern society has become materially abundant, we live isolated on our own stages. Scenes of sharing each other's emotions and thoughts are gradually fading, and the dialogue of relationships is also disappearing. This festival aims to create moments where various stories meet and empathize on a single stage through the discovery of new plays and contemporary reinterpretations. On this stage where the lives and memories of Tongyeong and Gyeongnam intersect with various narratives from around the world, audiences and art respond to each other's emotions, completing a time of living communication.
