The Bonghwa Sweetfish Festival is a summer water festival held against a natural backdrop, with sweetfish as its main theme. The festival features net-catching and bare-handed catching experiences as core content, allowing visitors to experience the ecology of sweetfish firsthand. During the festival, in addition to these sweetfish catching programs, various performances are held, along with food experiences using sweetfish and cool water play programs. Furthermore, to respond to climate change, various infrastructure and convenience facilities, including showers, shade canopies, and rest areas, are established and provided within the festival grounds. This festival is a participatory, experiential festival operated based on ecological resources.
