The Chilgok Nakdong River Peace Festival is a festival to commemorate the historical significance of the Battle of Nakdong River, which was the last line of defense during the Korean War, and to reflect on the spirit of national defense. It operates various programs to remember the value of the Republic of Korea, which ordinary people risked their lives to protect in 1950, and to express gratitude to those who defended the country. In the 13th festival to be held in 2026, while preparing performances, participatory experiences, and food programs that can be enjoyed under the theme of peace, it has further strengthened the festival's historical and peaceful message by planning programs to inform the existence of young child soldiers who were relatively unnoticed behind the narrative of student soldiers highlighted as symbols of national defense under the slogan 'Farewell Nakdong River, the Boys Who Guarded the River' and to honor their souls.
