A family-oriented experiential event will be held in Hongcheon-gun in conjunction with summer vacation festivals to attract family visitors and revitalize the local economy. The 2026 Hongcheon e-Sports Festival aims to strengthen Hongcheon-gun's e-sports brand through a festival based on new cultural industries and to develop new cultural content. With a total prize pool of 20 million KRW, the highest for an amateur competition, the event has been expanded to four categories to create a festival that all age groups can enjoy together. Moving beyond simple gaming competition, it is a participatory event where the whole family can enjoy and watch various programs such as VR experience zones, game experience zones, cosplay zones, drone experience zones, e-sports coaching, and career counseling.
