The Dalseong Daegu Contemporary Art Festival is a contemporary art festival held in the Gangjeongbo area, inheriting the spirit of the 'Daegu Contemporary Art Festival' where young artists in the 1970s challenged the rigidity of the established art world and conducted various artistic experiments. Gangjeong, the venue for the Dalseong Daegu Contemporary Art Festival, is significant as the site of Korea's first collective event during the '3rd Daegu Contemporary Art Festival' in 1977, which saw the participation of over 200 artists, the largest scale ever at the time.
