The 2026 Geumjeongsanseong Fortress Festival, which captures the value of Geumjeongsan Mountain—newly designated as a national park in 2026—will be held for three days from Friday, October 16 to Sunday, October 18, at Geumjeongsanseong Fortress Plaza and the surrounding areas of Geumjeongsanseong Fortress. As a history, culture, and arts festival based on Geumjeongsanseong Fortress, a representative cultural heritage of Geumjeong-gu, Busan, and the largest fortress in South Korea, and the Geumjeongsan National Park, it is held annually to commemorate the construction of the fortress. Having continued since the Geumjeong Arts Festival in 1996, this year's Geumjeongsanseong Fortress Festival will showcase the new charms of Geumjeong through various programs that harmonize the ecology and nature of Geumjeongsan National Park with the history and culture of Geumjeongsanseong Fortress.
