Samgilpo Rockfish Festival

Celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2026, the 'Samgilpo Rockfish Festival' is a summer festival held at Samgilpo, a beautiful port in Seosan. Representative experience programs include traditional stone trap fishing (doksal), platform fishing, and releasing fingerlings from a boat, as well as catching conger eels with bare hands in an air pool, which can be enjoyed by tourists of all ages, from children to adults. In addition, visitors can taste fresh rockfish sashimi provided for free by the festival committee and encounter various rockfish dishes such as spicy fish stew (maeuntang). On the main stage, visitors can enjoy performances in various fields such as singing and dancing, making it a representative summer festival in Seosan rich in things to see, do, and eat.
