Anyang Dance Festival

The Anyang Dance Festival will be held for three days from September 18 to 20 at Anyang Pyeongchon Central Park and Samdeok Park. Since its inception in 2000, the Anyang Citizen Festival has grown over 23 years into a representative festival of Anyang City, attracting about 300,000 visitors annually and establishing itself as a leading tourism festival in Gyeonggi-do. As a representative citizen-participatory festival created, participated in, and watched by citizens, it contributes to forming local artist communities and fostering citizen cultural communities under the theme of citizens, people, and Living Arts content. Under the slogan "Walk, Run, and Dance!", it aims to convey that even walking and running are forms of "dance" in a broad sense, discovering the latent passion for movement and dance throughout Anyang and encouraging citizen artists to fully express their energy and dynamism. Furthermore, it seeks to become Korea's only regional-based K-Dance cultural arts festival where citizens and visitors can harmonize through "dance" and "culture and arts" by creating a culture of "dancing together" within the space of Anyang.
