The 6th Gamaksan Flower & Star Journey is a representative autumn festival held from September 18 to October 11, 2026, at the Byeolbaram Hill area on the summit of Mt. Gamaksan in Sinwon-myeon, Geochang-gun. This year's theme is 'A Purple Comma for Me,' blending the autumn atmosphere and the natural scenery of Mt. Gamaksan with various performances, experiences, and food. The festival officially begins with an opening ceremony on September 18, featuring pre-ceremony performances, an opening performance, and a tour of the Siberian chrysanthemum fields. During the festival, various stages such as busking performances, Sunset Hill concerts, celebratory performances by the Geochang Music Association, and magic shows for children will welcome visitors. Experience programs are also abundant. Visitors can receive souvenirs through photo zones installed throughout the venue, stamp tours, and SNS verification events. A 'Slow Mailbox' is installed at Byeolbaram Hill, where you can write a letter to be received before next year's event, providing much to see. Food is also a great joy of the festival. At the Flower & Star Market, where local farms and businesses participate, you can find Geochang specialties and processed products. In addition, the food market operated by the Women's Associations of Namsang-myeon and Sinwon-myeon offers hearty food such as bibimbap, gukbap, pancakes, and tofu with kimchi at affordable prices, while the food truck zone offers simple snacks like coffee, sikhye, and hot dogs.
