The 2026 Namdo K-Garden Festival is a night garden festival held in the Yeomun Culture Street and Yeoseo Aesthetic Plaza areas of Yeosu. The theme of the festival is "Yeosu Night Garden Embracing Islands," and it will run for 51 days from September 11 to October 31, 2026. The festival aims to utilize the spatial characteristics of the old city center through content linking gardens and night views, providing citizens and tourists with opportunities to enjoy garden culture. Approximately 40 gardens, including representative gardens, designer gardens, and citizen-participation gardens, will be created at the venue, operating as spaces viewable both day and night through various plants and landscape displays. At night, lighting effects will be applied to emphasize the garden scenery, providing a viewing environment linked to Yeosu's night tourism resources. During the festival, various contents such as garden commentary programs, cultural performances, experience programs, and citizen participation programs will be operated, along with programs linked to local commercial districts and tourism resources. The 2026 Namdo K-Garden Festival is an event aimed at promoting the spread of garden culture and the revitalization of the old city center, and establishing the foundation for Yeosu as a garden city. It aims to promote the sustainable spread of garden culture by utilizing local cultural and tourism resources through a garden festival that citizens and tourists can participate in and enjoy together.
