The sea route taken by Queen Heo from the Ayuta Kingdom of India to Gaya 2,000 years ago is brought back to life with brilliant lights. The 3rd Gimhae Light Festival 'Voyage Toward the Light,' held at Gimhae Gaya Theme Park from August 14 to 23, 2026, presents a story of departure, voyage, and meeting Gaya through light sculptures, illuminations, media art, and photo zones. Visitors can walk along a path of light resembling the blue sea and night sky to discover the special connection between Gaya and India. On weekends and public holidays, a local food zone, a local creator art market, and outdoor performances of jazz, fusion Gugak, and acoustic music are added. At the opening ceremony on August 15, Ogomu (five-drum dance), K-POP Tron performances, and a multimedia fireworks show with over 3,000 rounds will decorate the night sky. The festival is open daily from 5:20 PM to 10:00 PM (last entry at 9:00 PM), and the admission fee is 2,000 KRW per person. Experience a special summer night in Gimhae where light, history, performances, food, and art come together.
