The Baekje Cultural Festival, which began in 1955 with the 1st Baekje Daeje in Buyeo-gun, is a representative historical and cultural festival in Korea celebrating its 72nd anniversary this year. It is a festival that has widely promoted the brilliant culture and long history of Baekje, modernly inheriting and developing the spirit and cultural heritage of ancestors while enhancing regional identity and pride. The 72nd Baekje Cultural Festival will be held for 9 days from October 3 (Sat) to October 11 (Sun), 2026, in the downtown area of Buyeo-eup under the theme "Beautiful Baekje, Shining Sabi." Centered around the Jeongnimsa Temple Site, Seoktap-ro, Uiyeol-ro, and Gwanbuk-ri Relics, it will feature over 40 programs in 7 categories, including rituals, Buddhist ceremonies, historical and cultural parades, performances, exhibitions, experiences, and night views. In particular, this year's festival will be held in the downtown area of Buyeo to operate as an open festival where Baekje's history and culture, local commercial districts, and the daily lives of residents harmonize, providing visitors with a special cultural experience where the past and present coexist.
