The 2026 Yangju National Heritage Night Tour is a night-themed festival held at the Yangju Government Office Site under the theme "Again, Joy for Officials and People." It revives the spirit of "Gwanmin Dongrak," where officials and commoners enjoyed festivities together in the Joseon Dynasty's Yangju-mok, connecting Yangju's history and national heritage through performances, experiences, exhibitions, and night views. The festival features performances and experiences of Yangju's representative intangible heritage, such as Yangju Byeolsandaenori, Yangju Sonorigut, Yangju Deulnorae, and Yangju Sangyeo and Hoedaji Sori. It also includes historical programs about King Jeongjo and Yangju-mok, civil service exam experiences, traditional culture activities, night tours, media exhibitions, traditional tea houses, and marketplaces. Rather than just viewing, visitors can become characters in the stories, completing the meaning of "Gwanmin Dongrak" through participation. Following the 8 Night programs (Night Scenery, Night Road, Night Story, Night History, Night Painting, Night Food, Night Stay, Night Market), visitors can stroll through the night of Yangju-mok, where history, people, and traditional culture merge into one story amidst beautiful night views. It is a special night where the past and present meet, allowing everyone to fully enjoy Yangju's unique national heritage and arts.
