Gunsan Jjamppong Festival

The Gunsan Jjamppong Festival is a representative gourmet festival utilizing Gunsan's signature dish, Jjamppong. It is a festival where you can enjoy the taste of Gunsan Jjamppong, filled with fresh seafood from the sea and abundant local agricultural products. Gunsan Jjamppong evolved into the Jjamppong we enjoy today when fresh seafood unique to the port city and spicy red pepper powder suited to Korean tastes were added to 'Chomamyeon,' a dish made by Chinese immigrants with pork, beef, and chicken bone broth until the early 1970s. The venue will feature Chinese food booths and snack booths, as well as various experience programs themed around Jjamppong and diverse stage performances, offering visitors a special taste and joy.
