Yuseong Reading Festival

The 2026 Yuseong Reading Festival is a representative regional reading culture festival held in Yuseong-gu, Daejeon, designed to allow visitors to enjoy books, culture, and relaxation outdoors. It was created to provide a special time to escape busy daily life, communicate with neighbors through books, and heal the body and mind. The festival features a variety of cultural programs so that visitors of all ages—including families, friends, and couples—can spend meaningful leisure time. In particular, a large-scale reading area integrated with nature is set up in an open outdoor space, and literary experience booths and multi-purpose exhibitions that anyone can freely participate in are operated. In addition, rich side events themed around books are held, such as meetings with famous authors, book talk concerts, reading appreciation events, and a book market involving local bookstores and publishers. The 2026 Yuseong Reading Festival goes beyond simple reading, serving as a key cultural exchange venue that helps citizens rediscover the joy of reading in their daily lives and contributes to creating a healthy reading ecosystem in the local community.
