The 2026 Wonju Dancing Carnival is a global K-dancing festival created by citizens and domestic/international participating teams, centered on K-POP and various other dances and performances. Through competitions in various fields such as K-Street, Children/Youth Street, Silver, Lifestyle Dance, Town/Township/Neighborhood, Performance, and Free Dance, it provides a festival venue where everyone can communicate and enjoy through dance, transcending generations and borders. In addition, it operates various side programs including cultural arts performances for all generations, the Fringe Festival featuring stages for lifestyle artists and professional invited teams, food booths, food trucks, and flea markets. Under the slogan "Dancing City, Staying Festival," it aims to transform Wonju into a festival city where dance and culture come alive, promoting the revitalization of local culture and arts and the globalization of the festival based on voluntary citizen participation and domestic/international exchange. The 2026 Wonju Dancing Carnival will be held for three days from September 18 to 20 in the area of the Dancing Performance Hall.
