Soyanggang Cultural Festival

The 47th Soyanggang Cultural Festival is a local cultural festival held to discover and pass down Chuncheon's unique local culture and provide a venue for harmony where citizens can enjoy together. It will be held from October 17 to 18, 2026, in the area of Chuncheon City Hall Plaza, featuring Chuncheon's traditional heritage such as Yongsingut (Dragon God Ritual) and Udubeol Daedong Cheonnyeopnori (Community River Fishing Play). The festival includes street parades with citizens, cultural school performances, participation stages for youth and children, invited performances, and folk art troupe performances. It also operates programs where citizens can directly participate, such as random dance, folk games, rice cake pounding experiences, and making/crafting experiences. It is a cultural event composed of various programs encompassing performances and experiences so that generations can experience and share the local traditional culture together.
