Dasan Jeong Yak-yong Cultural Festival

The Dasan Jeong Yak-yong Cultural Festival is a festival held in Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do, themed around the life, thoughts, and Silhak (Practical Learning) spirit of Jeong Yak-yong. The 40th Dasan Jeong Yak-yong Cultural Festival will take place from October 17 to 18, 2026, at the Jeong Yak-yong Historic Site and Dasan Ecological Park. Major programs include flower and tea offering ceremonies, an opening ceremony, a 40th-anniversary special fashion show and commemorative concert, the Jeong Yak-yong Robot Creation Contest, and a literary contest. On the 17th, a special fashion show by designer Lie Sang Bong is scheduled, and on the 18th, a commemorative concert featuring AUX, Park Hye-won, and Urban Zakapa will be held. Experience programs consist of 'Yeoyudang Hunters,' where participants find treasures by completing missions throughout the venue, 'Digital Detox Exile Experience,' 'Jeong Yak-yong Future Workshop' featuring AI and robots, traditional games, and Hanbok experiences. Additionally, busking performances and markets will be operated at Dasan Ecological Park, making it a festival where visitors can encounter Jeong Yak-yong's historical and cultural content alongside performances and hands-on activities.
