Jeju Flatfish Grand Festival

Held every October since 2016, the Jeju Flatfish Festival is the only event in Korea themed around flatfish, aiming to expand consumption and promote the excellence of Jeju farmed flatfish. It features various dishes made with flatfish, such as sashimi, sushi, fish cakes, tteokbokki, and pajeon, at affordable prices to spread awareness of its taste and quality. As a representative seafood festival in Jeju, it receives high praise from residents and tourists alike for selling dishes made from flatfish carefully raised by cooperative members. Additionally, various programs are held for residents, tourists, and children to participate in and enjoy, including the Jeju Flatfish Singing Contest, youth dance competitions, children's drawing contests, and bare-handed flatfish and flounder catching.
