About the Festival

The 2026 Daegu Heritage Night is a nocturnal cultural heritage festival held around Cheongna Hill, the center of Daegu's modern culture. Starting from Cheongna Hill, the event offers a special nighttime encounter with spaces where Daegu's modern history and culture come alive, such as Gyesan Cathedral, the March 1st Independence Movement Road, the former residences of Yi Sang-hwa and Seo Sang-don, and Gyesan Yega. During the event, various programs are operated, including the nighttime opening of national heritage sites and modern cultural facilities, night tours with professional guides, cultural performances containing modern history and stories, media art and landscape lighting, exhibition experience programs, and flea markets. A key feature is the ability to enjoy Daegu's history, culture, and beautiful night views while walking through Cheongna Hill and the Modern Alley, which offer a different atmosphere than during the day. It is a special night festival where you can discover the new charm of national heritage while walking, seeing, and experiencing with family, lovers, and friends against the backdrop of Daegu Jung-gu's Modern Alley, where the past and present coexist.
